Nutrition and Physical Activity Grades 9-12

Subject Matter: Goal Setting Grade Level: 10th-12th grade Lesson Objective: The student will be able to assess personal nutrition needs and physical activity level. After which the student will develop practical solutions for removing barriers to healthy eating and physical activity. Students will create a personal nutrition and physical activity plan based on current guidelines. Subject Matter Content Standard: Type out one specific standard met with this lesson. The internet promoted learning by forcing the student to search through the various websites in search of the answers to the subsidiary questions. In addition, the student must formulate their own idea of why it is important to eat healthy and exercise as well as why some people get sick even though they lead a healthy lifestyle.
